Below, you will find links that may help you in planning for a criminal justice career. Events * Each spring, the Department of Criminal Justice hosts a Career Advising Seminar. The 2009 seminar was held on Wednesday, February 18, from 6:00-9:00pm, in Waldron 226. Dr. Tod Burke opened the session with a discussion of issues related to criminal justice employment. Criminal justice faculty and practitioners then hosted sessions organized around subfields within criminal justice, focusing on employment in law enforcement, corrections, and courts and law. * Each spring, an annual Criminal Justice Career Fair is hosted by Lambda Alpha Epsilon. The 2009 Career Fair was held on Thursday, February 19, from 11:00am-4:00pm in the Muse Banquet Hall. Agencies from around the Commonwealth and region attended, to discuss job opportunities within their agencies. The annual fair provides an excellent opportunity to network with criminal justice agencies and practitioners from the Mid-Atlantic region!
